The 2006 Nissan Frontier continues the redesign that was implemented in 2005 with the larger redesigned Frontier. Previous models were classified as a compact truck but the new models are much closer to a midsize.
Other compact trucks of the nineties did not sell as well as the Frontier. Nissan has taken their leadership in that arena to the midsize truck field by producing a truck like the 2006 Frontier which has all of the versatility and maneuverability of the smaller compacts but is big enough to be a practical truck for work purposes.
This is the real reason that people want smaller trucks, to strike a balance between usefulness for work and for use as a commuter vehicle. The 2006 Nissan Frontier strikes the balance perfectly and offers something for everyone who needs a new truck. Nissan continues to lead the way with their production of these new midsize trucks.
